Jacob #Jordaens, exceptionally talented Flemish #Baroque painter, died on this day 18th October, 1678. Here is his depiction of the Madonna with Child and Flowers. Simply beautiful.

Dear Lady Zuvich,
The crowned monogram CC. at the bottom left is of the XV Condesa (countess) of Chinchón, María Teresa de Borbón y Vallabriga, niece of the Spanish King Charles IV, and this painting by Jacob Jordaens, signed and dated 1632, was in the collection of her and her husband Manuel Godoy y Álvarez de Faria, prime minister of Charles IV.
