The Gardens at Hever Castle

Continuing on from our last post on the history of Hever Castle, we come now to its gardens. Hever Castle is lovely, but it’s gardens are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen in the world. There are dozens of different varieties of flowers and plants along the sprawling landscape. It was here that I saw a garden of stunning, roses and multi-coloured dahlias that were about the size of my head!

On a personal note, I really love Kent (great location, great real ale for the husband, and spectacular scenery) and I would happily live there, if it weren’t so bloomin’ expensive. In the meantime, I’ll have to stay in cheaper, gloomy Lancashire for the time being. *sighs* Oh well, musn’t grumble!
